Recommended Tackle

  • 1 fishing rod(pole) capable of casting a 3 ounce sinker, 12 feet long preferred
  • 1 Fishing reel big enough to hold 200 yards of 15 lb mainline and 40 yards of 60-80 LB snag leader braided line to avoid being cut off on rocks
  • Good quality line as above
  • A bankstick to support your rod (pole)
  • Sinkers in 2,3 and 4 ounce sizes
  • Hooks in size 4 and 2
  • Something to sit on, a lawn chair or similar.
  • Something to give shade or shelter from rain (poncho or other rain gear).
  • Sunblock and mosquito repellent
